About the Event
It's an abundant time of year in the Appalachian food forest. The days are long and sunny and the canopy is full of life. Join us for a walk to celebrate the summer fruits, greens, herbs, flowers, and fungi that can be used for food and medicine. On our foraging tour, participants will enjoy a refreshing solstice botanical beverage and wild foods tasting featuring the flavors of the season.
This tour will take place at a private trail or greenspace near Clayton, GA located about a 2 hour drive from Atlanta, Asheville, and Greenville. Since this is our first public tour of the season, we will watch the weather carefully and wait until closer to the tour date to determine the best site for species diversity. Participants who purchase tickets will be emailed the exact location and other important reminders the week before the tour.
